Congratulations to The Emily Post Institute

Let Them Eat Cake Spirit of Life® Award Gala  
 
Greetings from The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants! 
 
Please join us in presenting City of Hope Cancer Center’s Spirit of Life® Award to the Emily Post Institute at a special VIP cocktail reception on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. The reception will feature a meet and greet with Peggy Post, and guests will take home a copy of her new and updated book, Wedding Etiquette. Proceeds will benefit the research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope Cancer Center.  
 
Respect, kindness, consideration, honesty: these are the tenets that etiquette maven Emily Post wrote about in 1922. And these principles of etiquette are what her great grandchildren still teach today. I have closely collaborated with the Post family and their staff, and have been so impressed by their philosophy, and their compassion for individuals living with cancer. 
 
This is a tradition the family and the institute carry on… In my experience in working with the Emily Post Institute - both family and staff – their caring, compassion and understanding of women’s issues, City of Hope and especially breast cancer is amazing. 
 
After a recent visit to City of Hope’s National Cancer Center, Peggy Post and her colleagues, touched by the needs of people living daily with the effects of cancer, and the vital care they receive at City of Hope, approached several of their national contacts to offer assistance. Peggy was especially moved by the services offered through City of Hope’s Imaging Center, a place where people can go to find a head scarf, wig or prosthetic: something to make them feel like themselves once again.  
 
Please join us in honoring the Emily Post Institute and the Post Family. Lets unite in the fight against a disease, which has taken too many too soon.
